OFI is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor for a project in Jimblebar.
FIFO - Perth
2:1 Roster 6 Months project
Core requirements of the role:
• Supervise staff, subcontractors and activities undertaken by or on behalf of OFI ensuring:
o OFI policies and procedures, Client standards, Australian Standards and legislation are followed and/or complied with for all works
o Works are completed Safely and without incident
o Efficient use of resources and equipment
• Assist engineering staff in the selection and cost estimation of fit for purpose EI equipment for tendered and awarded projects
• Liaise with client, or delegates, for daily operation purposes on the project and to ensure continued client satisfaction
• Develop overall project schedule, detailing tasks, resource requirements and critical pathways as per project stage specifications
• At contract award, verify capability capacity and any discrepancies between tender and award documentation. Resolve with client where necessary
• Discuss and liaise with personnel for preliminary insurances, guarantees, allocation of staffing, accommodation, quality management and administration aspects of the project
• Record building progress and variations from the design drawings or specifications
• Interpret and carry out directions for planning and organising projects
• Interpret plans, drawings, regulations and codes of practice to direct progress of the work, making sure that specifications and regulations are followed, and proper methods and materials are used
• Manage supplies of material and equipment ensuring OFI purchasing procedures are adhered to
• Handle surplus assets and obsolete stock in conjunction with OFI Management
• Negotiate with subcontractors and report to clients in conjunction with the Construction Manager
• Submit site reports to management as specified by the Project Manager /Construction Manager
• Develop and maintain on-site safety criteria. This includes compliance documentation, site forms, permits, working at heights and general hazard identification
• Develop job procedures to aid quality management systems and ongoing site efficiency i.e. JSAs, job flows, repetitive tasks etc
• Carry out site inspections and safety audits as well as weekly inspections for quality assurance purposes
• Collate ‘as constructed’ drawings and develop an overall site plan for client handover
• Complete final inspection with client representatives and site manager for final handover purposes
• Retain client contract for defects after handover to ensure any problems that arise are fixed
• Any other duties as required
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Additional duties may be required from time to time but as those duties are required, additional allowances will be considered to remunerate the additional duties for the period they are required. Examples of such additional duties include but are not limited to:
1. Remote site work
2. Living away from home for 10+ working days
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
Have 5+ years post-trade certificate experience in industrial electrical construction with a broad depth of project diversity and supervisory experience
Have a Current WA “A” Grade Electrical Licence
Certificate 4 Hazardous Areas - Electrical.
Have a current "C" class WA Driver’s Licence
S26 Certificate with BHP construction experience
Have well-developed technical skills complemented with a high aptitude in interpreting electrical package drawings
Desirable Certifications:
Have a current First Aid, CPR & LV Rescue Certificate
Have a White Card
OHS Certifications- EWP, LF, SB
Dogging ticket
Confined Space Entry Training
Safety and Risk Managment Training
Working at Heights ticket
Fire Safety Training
