About the role

ProWest Contracting is seeking an experienced Final Trim Excavator Operator to join our team on a contract basis. Based at our Perth Airport site in Western Australia, this role will involve operating excavation equipment to perform final trimming and finishing work on construction sites.

What you'll be doing

• Operate excavators and other equipment to carry out final trimming and finishing work on construction sites
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with project specifications and safety requirements
• Assist with other construction activities as needed, such as loading/unloading materials and equipment
• Maintain equipment and report any issues or maintenance needs
• Collaborate with the wider construction team to deliver projects on time and to budget

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (3+ years) operating excavators and other earthmoving equipment, with a focus on final trimming and finishing work
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and the ability to work safely at all times
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Relevant construction industry tickets and licences
