The Opportunity:
An exciting and challenging role exists for a highly driven, success-motivated individual to lead their Queensland Projects and Minor Works Department. This includes engineering, estimating, design, drafting, project management, and delivery resources. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies to ensure the department achieves or exceeds financial, business, and people objectives. Managing and developing staff and providing a safe place of work is paramount, as is your ability to foster client relationships to maximise returns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to drive departmental performance, ensuring alignment with financial and business objectives.
• Team Management: Lead and develop a diverse team, ensuring a safe and productive work environment and provide sales coaching, guidance and planning to drive growth and increase revenue.
• Client Engagement: Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients to maximise returns and ensure customer satisfaction.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Previous/current experience in a management role, including full profit and loss responsibility in either a large fire protection, mechanical, electrical or building installations role.
• Strong commercial acumen and judgement
• Ability and comfort in moving between operating strategically and at the “coal face”
• Ability to pre-empt market trends and take appropriate action
• Previous sales experience will be highly advantageous
• Previous experience in negotiating major contracts
• Exceptional ability to establish relationships with clients, builders and consultancy firms
• Goal orientation with the ability to manage yourself and others
• A strong desire to succeed
