We are seeking suitable applications for a highly capable and values-driven Senior Medical Scientist in Charge to join our dynamic Medical Technology and Physics team.
This is for a Permanent Part Time appointment at 38 hours per fortnight.
What is our Senior Medical Scientist in Charge role?
This position manages and directs the provision of the department’s national clinical retinal genetics and state visual electrophysiology services' promotes research of an international standard relevant to these services; manages the provision of a robust quality system, in order to maintain the department’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance accreditation.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
