G & E Automotive Services is a well-established and reputable workshop committed to delivering high-quality automotive repairs and outstanding customer service. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Qualified light vehicle Automotive Mechanic to join our growing team.
Needs to be a mechanic that is willing to get their hands dirty and have knowledge and understanding of how to work through tasks in a timely manner.
Support is given to all employees to be able to feel supported in the workplace and build knowledge and skills in other areas needed.
Must have a positive attitude and a great can-do attitude with the wiliness for over time if needed.

Key Responsibilities
Perform servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of light vehicles
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues with accuracy and efficiency
Carry out safety vehicle inspections and be able to understand the service needs of the vehicle.
Ensure all work is completed to industry standards and workshop quality requirements
Able to understand and follow directions as needed.
Basic computer knowledge, as we use a software system for our vehicle reports
Be willing to learn and follow directions from workshop foreman and managers
Have a positive mindset
Maintain a safe, organised, and professional work environment
Ensure the safety of others in the workplace
Skills & Experience Required
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology- THIS IS A MUST
Relevant industry qualifications- benefits for extra knowledge and abilities.
Permit Australian resident only- NO WORKING VISA
Proven experience as an automotive mechanic- be able to answer questions in relation to mechanical areas if successful for interview process.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills- Some knowledge would be considered, bonus for understanding of scan tool equipment.
Current driver’s licence - (Manual preferred)
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team- Open to ongoing workplace communications, as well as being able to take on input from others where needed.
