About the role

We are seeking a skilled Backhoe Operator to join our team at MEH Industrial in the Moranbah region, QLD. This role includes Backhoe, Skid Steer Loader and Tractor / Slashing doing site preparation as part of the mining exploration operations.

What you'll be doing

Backhoe - dig sumps, clear tracks and drill pads, relocate driller equipment

Skid Steer / Tractor - Slashing and clearing seismic lines

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment

What we're looking for

Experience operating backhoes essential (RII qualification required); experience operating skid steer loader and/or tractor slasher preferable

Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Commitment to maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible work site

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Current Queensland driver's licence and relevant mining certifications (Coal Board Medical, Standard 11, RII Backhoe)
