Connect APAC are delighted to partner with a leader in the Australian Food Industry. This, Australian owned business are a stand out in the bakery category with a strong presence across the Food Service Channel nationwide. Reporting into the State Sales Manager, there now exists an opportunity to join the business as a Territory Manager for the Sydney North region to drive sales from the North end of the CBD through to The Northern Beaches and Central Coast. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding sales within this defined geographic territory. You will be expected to build strong relationships with local distributors, foodservice operators, and end-users, while driving product distribution and market share. This role is currently part time and we are looking for someone available for three days p/w (this could turn into a full time role in the future).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all sales activities within a defined geographic territory, focusing on increasing product distribution and market share.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local distributors, foodservice operators, and end-users to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Identify new business opportunities and implement strategies to expand sales within your territory.
Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
Monitor and report on sales activities, achievements, and challenges, providing regular updates to the State Sales Manager.
Achieve territory-specific sales targets, maintaining a clear focus on growth and customer satisfaction.
Set clear performance goals and expectations to enhance capabilities for professional and personal growth opportunities.
Actively contribute cross functionally to product knowledge, and sales strategies to foster a collaborative team environment.
Foster strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with business objectives
High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
Key Requirements:
FMCG experience required, particularly Food/Bev category experience desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
Proven experience (typically 4+ years) in sales management, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth within a designated territory.
Strong sales skills, with the ability to prospect, negotiate, and close deals.
Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently to achieve sales goals.
Strong organizational skills, including time management and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of the foodservice industry is advantageous but not essential.
