About the role

Elite Heavy Equipment, a leading provider of Mechanical solutions is seeking multiple skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our talented team in Wingfield, South Australia. As a contracted Heavy Diesel Mechanic to one of the countries biggest transport companies you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the customers fleet of on highway trucks and trailers ensuring our clients' operations run smoothly and efficiently. IMMEDIATE START.

What you'll be doing

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of highway trucks and trailers as requested.

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, and implement effective repair solutions.

Conduct detailed inspections, testing, and servicing of all mechanical systems, components, and parts.

Maintain accurate records of all work performed, and provide detailed reports to the management team.

Collaborate with the broader team to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality are upheld.

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies, and apply your knowledge to improve maintenance processes.

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in on highway trucks/Trailers essential.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, preferably in the construction, mining or transport industries.

Extensive knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and heavy equipment components.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

A commitment to workplace safety, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment.
