Whether you want to expand your clinical skills, enjoy greater flexibility, or simply try something different, we’d love to hear from you.
Community nursing is a truly rewarding field where you’ll build meaningful connections with patients and families while supporting hospital avoidance strategies.
At Community & Allied Health, your wellbeing matters. We value work-life balance and may be able to offer flexible arrangements such as part-time hours, school-friendly shifts, or reduced hours. Our Coober Pedy service operates Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, delivering high-quality nursing care in both our clinic and patients’ homes.
As part of your role, you’ll provide nursing services including:
Wound and CVAD management
Urinary catheter and stoma care
Baxter infusions and medication administration
Post-acute and aged care support
You’ll also be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team, working alongside specialist nurses in areas such as diabetes, cancer care, stoma management, palliative care, community aged care, and NDIS support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct person-centred nursing care and advanced clinical nursing services to patients in a variety of community health settings.
- Take accountability for personal practice standards, delegating tasks to others and fostering development.
- Support the development of nursing practice by guiding less experienced staff and students.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver the best care outcomes.
- Manage and prioritise your workload effectively to meet care delivery goals.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring patient safety and optimal care standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of post-registration experience
- Ability to lead, support, and mentor other nursing staff, including students and enrolled nurses.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting.
- Ability to work independently, prioritising care while meeting deadlines.
- Solid wound care knowledge with a broad understanding of wound care dressings and the healing process.
- Knowledge of contemporary healthcare issues and quality improvement systems.
- If you are a skilled, motivated nurse ready to contribute to a forward-thinking healthcare service, we want to hear from you!
