What you’ll be doing:

The Manager Safety will lead a small team of WHS professionals delivering both operational and strategic safety management advice, support, services, systems and training to more than 70,000 RFS members across all of NSW.


To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • A Graduate Certificate or Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. WHS, Governance, Risk Management)
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of strategic safety programs and initiatives
  • Extensive understanding of contemporary safety management systems and work health and safety compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to translate legislation and technical information into practical and workable solutions in an inherent high-risk setting
  • Genuine appreciation and understanding of a volunteer-based community service
