A very busy cafe, open for breakfast and lunch in Burleigh Waters, seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand. Must be available weekends and few days during the week.

As a Kitchen Hand, you will be responsible for providing essential support in our fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment. This is a casual position, asking for flexibility.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients

Packing and unpacking dishwasher

Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen work area

Ensuring proper storage and handling of all food items

Operating kitchen equipment and machinery safely and efficiently

Providing general support to the kitchen team as required

Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene standards

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or in a similar role within the hospitality industry

Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organisation

The ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

A passion for the hospitality industry and a genuine interest in food preparation

Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations
