This is more than a comms job. It’s your chance to be the trusted advisor behind the CEO, Mayor and senior leaders of one of WA’s fastest-growing cities. As the Senior Media and Communications Advisor, you’ll sit at the centre of the conversations that matter shaping how more than 100,000 residents, media and stakeholders see the City of Armadale.
Think of it as part strategist, part storyteller. You’ll be the voice that guides leadership in moments of opportunity and challenge, crafting clear, compelling messages that protect and enhance the City’s reputation. Every story you tell will help strengthen community pride, trust and connection.

About you
You’re not just a comms person you’re a trusted advisor who thrives on influence, clarity and impact. You’ll bring:
Proven experience in media, PR, journalism or corporate communications
A track record of pitching stories, managing media and securing coverage
Sharp writing and editing skills across speeches, campaigns and digital
Calm, sound judgement under pressure — with the ability to brief and advise leadership in real time
The confidence to build relationships at the highest levels of government and community
