About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team with one of our Energy clients as a Collections Officer/Skip Tracing Officer. In this casual role, you will be responsible for contacting customers to confirm their identity and collect outstanding payments and trace individuals who have not setup their contracts properly. Full time work from home is possible for the right candidate.

Casual Part time: 10 -15 hours per week | (Flexible with the hours)

What you'll be doing

Contact customers via phone, email and letter to identify them & collect outstanding payments.

Trace individuals who have skipped on their financial obligations using various research techniques

Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers

Maintain accurate records and documentation of all customer interactions

Escalate unresolved cases to the relevant stakeholders

Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanour at all times

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a collections or skip tracing role, preferably in the call centre or customer service industry; Energy industry experience is a bonus.

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to deal with difficult customers

Attention to detail and the ability to accurately maintain records

Familiarity with debt collection legislation and regulations

Proficient in using various research tools and databases
