Hello amazing Early Childhood Teachers!
We have a truly unique opportunity, that combines a little bit of everything with a huge future ahead!
We're looking for a superstar ECT to take on a dual role as ECT/Ed Leader, in a smaller centre - to start off as permanent part-time with set days/guaranteed hours, with the view towards becoming full-time in future if they wish. Flexible options totally up for discussion!
Please read the listing carefully, as there are some intricacies that make this role special! Before we begin, because we're genuinely family owned and operated, we'd like to make a point of saying that we like to hire based on culture and how well a person fits into our family - everything on the job can be taught, but nothing can replace family. And we really do mean it from our hearts, we treat our staff like they're our family <3
Ok so about that amazing culture:
Family owned and operated, with very experienced owners
Small service, small team, that are a genuine family
A team that's hired based on character and values above all
An enjoyable and fun work environment, with enormous impact
Incredible mentorship, guidance and opportunity for career growth
We absolutely pride ourselves on having exceptionally high standards as a service
P.S you totally have our permission to ask the educators how true the above holds for them, actually, we want you to.
Tell me about the centre!
- 39 places, exceptional occupancy and family retention; truly a high performing service with a stellar reputation
- Designed to truly emulate the home environment, our philosophy centres around play-based learning
- The number one consistent feedback we receive from parents is “it feels just like home, you can feel the love and care”
- Purpose built centre, set across two rooms, with a gorgeous verandah area and generous playground, as well as on-site carpark, close to public transport and schools and much, much more
- You'll be part of a truly beautiful team that have been hand-picked by us, that have excellent mindsets and willingness and they're honestly such kind hearted and empathetic people
- Incredible leadership from an amazing director as well as a highly experienced owner (who is also a Macquarie University ECT, Ed Leader, Director and Centre Owner for 13 years)
- And, you'll have the opportunity to mentor Educators currently studying their Bachelor at both, Macquarie University and ACU!
Bonus but definitely not essential; if you're bilingual in Arabic, Greek or Italian, that would be fabulous. We're across the street from a Our Lady of Mount Carmel School/Parish so we have a significant contingent of families from those cultures.
Ok, you have my attention, but what's in it for me?
Working in a calmer, peaceful and positive environment that transpires from a beautiful centre.
Be part of an amazing team, your second family.
Alongside a very healthy occupancy and appreciative families!
You'll get access to excellent mentorship if we say so ourselves! We know we provide so much good and we say it with a proven track record.
Guaranteed and permanent days, with an opportunity to go full-time if the candidate wishes. We're licensed for 52 weeks a year too.
We could go on forever about all of the positives but truth be told, our only advice is to follow you gut. You'll know when you see the centre, meet us and the team and your intuition will guide you as to whether all of the things above hold steadfast and true.
What you'll be responsible for:
Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Mentor and support educators to enhance their professional practice and program delivery.
Actively engage in fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and the local community.
Ensure compliance with the National Quality Standards (NQS) and all relevant regulations.
Support children’s individual learning and development goals while promoting wellbeing and resilience.
Provide a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Observe, evaluate and record children’s development.
Contribute to the continual improvement of our business.
Ensure our Philosophy, Policies and Procedures are upheld.
Does this sound like you?
A Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent, recognised by ACECQA).
Current NESA accreditation
A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check
Preferred: Current first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis, asthma management, child protection and Red Nose Training (all of our Educators have these, as paid for by the company)
A current certificate in CHCPRT025 – Identify and Report children and young people at risk
A deep understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and current best practices in early childhood education.
Proven leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative approach.
Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
A genuine passion for fostering curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning in young children.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely yours,
Fingerprints Family
