Rex James Group is a family-owned business based in Nathalia, In addition to the stockfeed business, the Rex James Group owns and operates a mixed livestock and cropping enterprise with land holdings in close proximity to Nathalia.

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Farm Machinery Operator / Farm Hand to join our small but friendly team. The ideal candidate will bring practical skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to contribute across a range of farm operations.

Key Duties (include but are not limited to):

Operating and controlling a laser bucket with precision.

Operating and maintaining modern cropping machinery such as air seeders, headers, spray rigs, and tractors.

Ensuring accuracy in all operations, including sowing, spraying, harvesting, and laser work.

Performing routine maintenance, servicing, and daily upkeep of equipment (e.g., greasing, cleaning, inspections).

Using GPS guidance systems and other modern technology to ensure efficient and accurate operations.

Must Have

We are looking for motivated individuals who demonstrate:

Proven experience operating a laser bucket.

Hands-on experience with a range of farm machinery

Ability to work flexible hours during peak periods.

A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Basic maths and literacy skills to perform the role effectively.

A strong commitment to workplace safety.

Desirable (but not essential)

HC or MC licence.

Chemical handler’s accreditation/licence.

Experience with livestock handling.

General farm experience across mixed operations.
