  • Lead working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support the uplift of localised diverse practices across the DCS projects and delivery community
  • Maintain a central body of project delivery information (frameworks, guidelines, templates etc.)
  • Provide support and advice to project teams across the delivery lifecycle focused on alignment with the project management framework, guidelines and governance best practices
  • Prepare reporting and presentations for committees and working groups and other executive and stakeholder audience reports as required.

About you

We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a background in project or portfolio management and looking to take the next step in their career. In this role, you'll bring:

  • Strong project delivery experience, ideally in a PMO, portfolio, program, or project management team, who was responsible for setting and supporting governance, performance, project accounting and reporting requirements
  • Project management skills and experience with a sound understanding of best practices across the project management lifecycle
  • Problem solving skills and can demonstrate the ability to breakdown complex problems and drive pragmatic solutions that are simple and easy to understand and follow
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare briefings, reports and correspondence for senior audiences
  • The ability to provide high level specialist advice and insights to stakeholders and senior leaders across all Portfolio Governance matters
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to engage diverse audiences, manage expectations, and build consensus around shared outcomes
  • A strong understanding of project accounting within the context of NSW Government and can provide sound governance advice on related matters
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving skills with a practical mindset, using research and analysis to guide decisions and improve systems
  • Strong leadership capability to guide and mentor a team; foster innovation and embed continuous improvement in project delivery
