About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our team at Fleischer Cakes' in Malvern, Victoria. As a Kitchen Hand, you will be responsible for providing essential support in our fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment. What you'll be doing

• Assisting with food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen work area
• Ensuring proper storage and handling of all food items
• Operating kitchen equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
• Providing general support to the kitchen team as required
• Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene standards

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high levels of cleanliness and organisation
• The ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
• A passion for the hospitality industry and a genuine interest in food preparation
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations
