The Opportunity

About the Role

As our Foreman / Supervisor, you will:

Oversee and coordinate civil construction activities, ensuring road works and related projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification

Lead and mentor site crews, promoting teamwork and a positive safety culture

Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to align daily operations with project timelines and quality standards

Monitor progress, resolve site issues, and implement solutions to meet production goals and targets

Conduct site inspections, ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Prepare and maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation using digital tools

Participate in project planning, resource allocation, and procurement processes

Operate plant and machinery as required (holding current licenses/competencies)

Key Requirements

Demonstrated experience supervising civil construction projects, particularly road works, with a minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leading hand role

Proven ability to organise, plan, and deliver projects to meet production goals and quality standards

Strong skills in reading and interpreting project plans and specifications and estimating resources

Competency in using computer tablets for site management and reporting tasks

Current QLD driver’s licence is required (HR licence is advantageous but not essential)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent JACC professionally to clients and stakeholders

Commitment to upholding and implementing high safety and environmental standards

Ability to role model and integrate organisational values and behaviours within your team

Willingness to mentor, share knowledge, and participate in training and meetings

Physically fit and able to participate in manual handling and site activities as required

Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety
