About the role

Tonics Automotive is looking for an experienced Mechanic to join our team in Garbutt, Queensland. This full-time role will be responsible for the servicing and repair of a wide range of vehicle makes and models, ensuring our customers' vehicles are well-maintained and roadworthy.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across all vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components

Perform scheduled maintenance services

Test and inspect vehicles to identify and resolve problems

Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used

Ensure a high standard of workmanship and customer service

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics, such as a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

Minimum 3 years of experience as a qualified Mechanic, preferably in a workshop environment

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

Good communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
