About the role

As a Retail Energy Pricing Analyst at Blue NRG Pty Ltd, you will play a key role in driving the company's strategic pricing initiatives and market positioning. In this full-time position based in Melbourne, you will be responsible for analysing market trends, competitor activities, and customer data to develop and implement effective pricing strategies that optimise profitability and maintain a competitive edge.

What you'll be doing

Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify pricing opportunities and monitor industry developments

Develop and maintain pricing models to forecast demand, costs, and profitability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to recommend optimal pricing strategies for different customer segments

Analyse customer data and market intelligence to identify pricing trends and inform pricing decisions

Support the implementation of pricing strategies and monitor their performance

Provide regular reporting and insights to management on pricing initiatives and their impact

Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices

What we're looking for

Degree in Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field

Minimum 3 years of experience in a pricing or energy analysis role

Proficiency in data analysis, modelling, and forecasting using tools like Excel, SQL, and Tableau

Strong understanding of the energy market, pricing strategies, and customer behaviour

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across different functions

Proven track record of delivering successful pricing initiatives and driving business impact
