Community Health Educator
Full Time – 38 Hours Per Week | Ongoing

About the Role
The Community Health Educator is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating health education initiatives that strengthen the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities.
You will provide education and support across areas such as:
Smoking cessation (Quit programs)
Problem gambling prevention and support
Chronic disease prevention (e.g., diabetes, heart disease)
Mental health and wellbeing
Nutrition and physical activity
This role is hands-on, community-focused, and involves culturally safe engagement, collaboration with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal service providers, and ensuring all activities are guided by self-determination and holistic health principles.
About You
You will bring experience in community development, health promotion, or support work, along with:
Skills in group facilitation and program delivery
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of confidentiality in Aboriginal communities
Experience with report writing, data collection, and program evaluation
Digital skills for outreach and education (presentations, social me
What We Offer:
Competitive pay and conditions based on the SCHADS Award – Level 3 Pay Point 1 based on experience and qualifications.
Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part- or Full-time employees.
