About the Role
As the Nurse Unit Manager for the Pain Management Unit, you will lead a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a specialised service. Your clinical expertise and leadership skills will be central to coordinating clinic and procedural activities, working closely with the medical head of unit to ensure smooth operations and optimal outcomes. You will manage nursing staff, foster effective multidisciplinary collaboration, and ensure care is delivered to the highest professional standards.
In this pivotal role, you will take accountability for both nursing and multidisciplinary outcomes, addressing any gaps between practice and policy to drive continuous improvement. You will champion team performance, nurture a supportive and positive workplace culture, and contribute to the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care. About You
You are an experienced and motivated Nurse leader who thrives in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. You bring strong clinical expertise, proven management skills, and a passion for driving service excellence in pain management and procedural care.
Skilled leader with strengths in communication, problem solving and change management
Able to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster a positive, growth-focused workplace culture
Knowledgeable in relevant legislation, standards, and contemporary nursing practices
- Registered Nurse with current practising certificate and 5+ years’ relevant experience
- Some intrastate travel might be needed.
