About Matthews Architects

Matthews Architects is a design-led practice based in North Adelaide, specialising in commercial, civic, and education projects. Our studio is a collaborative and supportive environment where ideas are valued, creativity is encouraged, and professional growth is a priority.

Due to an increase in workload, we are creating an additional position for an experienced Graduate of Architecture with a strong BIM focus. This role is ideal for someone who holds a Masters Degree (or equivalent) in Architecture and has at least 2 years post graduate experience within an architecture firm.

We are seeking someone with strong technical skills and expertise working with in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup. We have a strong focus on guiding graduates toward architectural registration, offering support and mentorship throughout the process to help you achieve this important career milestone.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the design and documentation of architectural projects

· Collaborate with senior architects, interior designers, and clients to develop innovative solutions

· Participate in design workshops and project meetings

· Contribute to project research, analysis, and presentations

· Support the team in ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

· Collaborate with project teams to facilitate BIM integration throughout all project phases, ensuring documentation can be coordinated to a high standard between the design team.

Key Requirements:

· A Masters degree in Architecture

· Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in an architecture firm

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills

· Proficiency in design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.)

· Eagerness to learn, grow, receive feedback and develop professionally

· A creative and proactive approach to problem-solving

Desirable Attributes

· Autodesk Revit Professional Certification.

· Experience with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).

· Familiarity with interdisciplinary coordination and clash detection.
