We’re on the lookout for an experienced Sales and Parts Interpreter to become a key player in our welcoming and supportive team at our Midvale Branch. As one of our Sales and Parts Interpreters, you will be responsible for accurately entering and coordinating sales orders and liaising with the sales team to communicate delivery timeline expectations for Normet customers.

Key responsibilities

Customer Support & Sales: Provide accurate quotations, manage spare parts inquiries via hotline, and confirm sales orders promptly.

Order & Procurement Management: Coordinate purchase authorisations, source non-genuine parts when needed, and ensure compliance with pricing and quality standards.

Data Accuracy & Reporting: Monitor sales orders for pricing accuracy, follow up on outstanding orders, and complete business/back-order reports on time.

System & Delivery Coordination: Use D365 tools to manage customer data, plan deliveries, and ensure DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time) targets are met.

Customer Engagement & Upselling: Communicate effectively to understand customer needs, recommend solutions, and identify upselling opportunities.

Collaboration & Forecasting: Collaborate with management, workshop, and sales teams to forecast demand and support production planning.

Production Oversight: Oversee production jobs, ensuring efficient workflow and operational accuracy by opening, monitoring, managing, and closing these tasks.

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in a Parts Interpreter or similar role, preferably with a heavy machine focus.

Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment

Familiarity with inventory systems and order processing tools, proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly regarded

Solid experience in the processing of purchase and sales orders

A customer-first mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Ability to interpret spare parts manuals and drawings

Availability to be part of the Call Back Roster

Full working rights in Australia.

The successful candidate must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and obtain a National Police Clearance before commencement.
