Our client, a leading non bank lender, is looking for Credit Assessors who thrive in complexity and are confident working outside traditional lending frameworks. If you’re confident in your credit skills, comfortable with non conforming mortgage scenarios, and value accuracy, speed and strong broker relationships, this is your next move.

This is a specialist role where you’ll assess a variety of non standard mortgage applications including self employed, trusts and company structures, and make informed, risk aligned decisions. You’ll work closely with mortgage brokers, troubleshoot scenarios and help drive smarter, faster outcomes.

What you’ll be doing:

Assess residential mortgage applications in line with credit policy and risk appetite

Review supporting documentation including income verification, asset positions, ID and contracts

Investigate credit files, conduct third party checks and spot inconsistencies

Make recommendations for non standard or borderline scenarios

Engage directly with brokers to clarify deals and strengthen relationships

Support continuous improvement and share knowledge with the broader team

What we’re looking for:

Mortgage experience ideally credit assessment or credit support/loan verification

Experience with non conforming or specialist lending is highly valued

Ideally holds a Delegated Lending Authority (DLA), though not essential

Strong judgment, time management and attention to detail

Clear communicator with the ability to challenge and collaborate with brokers and stakeholders

Commercially aware and comfortable working independently in a high volume environment
