Step straight into Olympic Stadium early works & Commonwealth approvals

Shape projects across government advisory, sports, tourism & land development

As a Senior Environmental Planner with this consultancy, you’ll be straight onto one of the most high-profile projects in the state - delivering early works and Commonwealth approvals for one of the major Olympic Stadiums.

From there, the work is equally engaging: golf course redevelopments, sports facilities, open space tourism projects and public realm design through to execution. You’ll also be hands-on with government advisory and land development, working at the point where environmental approvals plug into town planning projects.

The Role:

You’ll sit just under a Principal and work alongside one of the Directors, helping build out the Environmental Planning team.

Manage and deliver environmental approvals across varied major projects

Lead the interface between environmental inputs and town planning partners

Provide oversight and direction on strategy, reports and client engagement

Mentor grads and guide delivery quality while staying client-facing

Contribute across both design and construction phases of projects

Who You’ll Work With:

The Planning team currently includes a Director, a Principal, and two grads. They need you to bridge the senior gap. With nearly 30 staff across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, this is a consultancy founded by three ex-top tier Directors who kept the quality clients and projects but left the bureaucracy behind.

This is a business with a genuine growth trajectory. They’ve just opened a Sunshine Coast office and are expanding into Northern NSW. The culture is supportive, autonomous and commercially sharp.

Experience:

6+ years in Environmental or Town Planning (strong approvals experience essential)

Solid grasp of QLD Planning Act and Local Government approvals

Confidence managing projects and liaising with clients and councils

Either a Town Planner with a strong environmental bent, or an Environmental Scientist with planning focus
