Hornsby Learn to Swim is seeking a mature, enthusiastic, and personable Learn to Swim Instructor. The successful candidate will work within a team to deliver high-quality lessons that enhance both customer experience and the overall success of the swim school.

Applicants may be experienced instructors with established teaching skills, or those new to the industry seeking to build confidence and competence. In both cases, we welcome candidates who are flexible, passionate about working with children, enjoy swimming, and thrive in a team-focused environment.

The Role
This casual role reports to the swim school managers and requires the instructor to:

Deliver program objectives across Learn to Swim, Stroke Development, and Coaching.

Maintain a positive, professional, and child-centered swim school culture.

Communicate clearly with parents, children, and staff about progress and school operations.

Provide constructive feedback to support ongoing improvement and growth.

Program Objectives
Instructors will conduct engaging, high-quality lessons in both group and private formats. The school prides itself on premium standards, ensuring children not only develop their swimming ability but also enjoy a positive and rewarding experience.

About Us
Hornsby Learn to Swim is one of three swim schools operated by the owner, alongside Pymble Swim School and North Shore Swimming Academy. Collectively, these schools teach over 1,000 students and are highly regarded across the North Shore, with long waitlists to join.

Hornsby Learn to Swim specialises in programs for preschool and primary school children (ages 3–12), with some toddler classes available. The school currently operates five days a week with around 10 staff and under 500 students, with plans to expand further. The affiliated schools also offer stroke development and squad training up to National Age level.
