Medium sized APS department, with office locations across Australia, with a dynamic and growing workforce. Well-staffed and expert HR function, with highly experienced payroll professionals in this team. This payroll team supports BAU payroll processing as well as some audit and payroll uplift projects.

Opportunity for an experienced APS5 Payroll Officer to join the team, in their Canberra office, in an ongoing capacity. This position is vacant, and their preference is to bring someone into the role in an ongoing capacity via a s26 transfer. Aurion experience and a Baseline clearance mandatory.

The role will manage end to end payroll processing, using Aurion, with complex calculations on super, leave, VRs and terminations another key element to the role. Great chance to move into a team with very experienced senior payroll officers, that can mentor and develop your payroll expertise.

To be successful for this role you must:

• Have current or recent APS payroll processing experience, including complex leave and super calculations.
• Preferably you are an ongoing APS5 employee, or high performing APS4 looking for an acting opportunity
• Baseline clearance and Australian Citizenship
• Be experienced in using Aurion or similar payroll HRIS

Salary: $90,000-$99,000 plus super (15.4%)
