The Opportunity
A top-tier peak body in the construction sector is looking for a Senior Insights Data Analyst. In this role, you’ll lead high-value analytics projects that shape industry and workforce planning across Queensland. You’ll join a professional, supportive workplace with a hybrid work model (two work-from-home days per week after probation) and a modern office centrally located in Milton that’s easy to access by public transport or car.
What you’ll do
Lead advanced analysis of construction and workforce datasets
Build statistical and econometric models to inform strategic decision making
Deliver clear insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Work in Azure and Databricks environments (desirable)
Apply Python, R, and SQL skills to complex quantitative projects
What you’ll bring
5+ years’ experience in quantitative analysis, modelling, or applied economics/statistics
Postgraduate qualification in economics, statistics, mathematics, or related field (or equivalent high-level experience)
Strong track record with large datasets, ideally in construction or workforce planning
Demonstrated capability in Python and/or R, SQL, and statistical modelling
Experience presenting complex insights to varied audiences
Knowledge of the VET sector (desirable, not essential)

Base salary $124K – $134K + super
Hybrid work model – 2 WFH days after probation
Standard hours 8:00am – 4:30pm with flexibility
