Our Practice Improvement team focuses on the core of Tasmania’s primary care system - directly supporting general practices and primary care providers.
We are excited to be searching for our new Primary Health Consultant to actively develop strong and productive relationships with general practice, allied health providers and pharmacy.

What you would be doing
Every day you will be the face of Primary Health Tasmania – developing relationships, supporting continuous quality improvement and supporting Practices to adopt change management processes in adapting to Strengthening Medicare reforms.
Your areas of focus will be:
In-person visits, meetings and telephone support
Develop and implement resources and promote the use of digital health tools
Support the development and implementation of quality improvement activities
Coordinate networking opportunities and educational events
Support the use of MyMedicare and government incentives and systems such as Practice Incentive Program, Medicare Benefits Schedule, and Chronic Disease Management (training provided)
Here's what you’ll look like
You might have a background in health program planning/coordination – experience working with GPs or allied health would be ideal.
These skills will also get you off to a great start:
Collaboration and Change Management: The ability to facilitate and manage change within healthcare organisations, guiding teams through transitions and overcoming resistance to new processes or initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement: Able to work with a varied range of stakeholders and develop strong, sustainable relationships
Teamwork: Demonstrated success in working as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team
