SuUpport is a small participant focused organisation providing support to participants with complex needs within the NDIS framework.

The Disability Services Day program is designed to engage and empower participants to enjoy activities and access the community gaining life skills and confidence.

It caters for participants with complex needs who are supported at an appropriate individual level for community participation and centre-based programs

Support workers engage with participants to develop skills through activities like cooking, music, craft, leisure, sports, bike riding, singing any many more.

Role includes

Ability to work at a 1:1 ratio supporting participants with complex needs in a group setting.

Assist with daily living activities, transport, personal care and meal preparation.

Support participants to access the community and social activities.

Promote independence.

Be physically fit with the ability to walk daily and support swimming programs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A compassionate, patient, and calming nature.

A commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

Necessary knowledge and skills in monitoring individuals and responding to behaviours of concern

Mandatory Requirements

Two years proven experience in the disability sector

Current National Police Record Check

Proof of Identify (Current photo identification)

A tertiary qualification Certificate III or above relevant to disability or willingness to gain a qualification Certificate III or above

NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate

NDIS Worker Screening

Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Agreed Terms of Employment

Four rostered days from 9.30am until 3pm.

Working school holidays

Two weeks closure over Christmas period.

Employment as a Subcontracted worker.

Program closes on Public Holidays

SuUpport cover Professional Indemnity & Public Liability

SuUpport closes for two weeks during the Christmas and New Year period.
