Your new role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse to join the Main Operating Theatres team at Princess Alexandra Hospital, a leading 21-theatre tertiary facility. This role is pivotal in delivering safe, person-centred, and specialist perioperative care for patients with complex needs. You will:
- Provide advanced clinical leadership in assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of perioperative nursing care, with a focus on vascular and endovascular surgery.
- Support and supervise nursing staff and students, acting as a role model and mentor to promote professional growth and high-quality practice.
- Contribute to education, research, and quality improvement initiatives to strengthen patient care and service outcomes.
- Be required to participate in an on-call roster and work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
About you:
You are a dynamic and dedicated nursing professional who thrives in high-acuity environments and is passionate about advancing perioperative nursing care. You will bring:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and extensive perioperative experience, ideally in vascular and endovascular surgery.
- Advanced clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to guide, mentor, and support colleagues in a complex operating theatre environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development, education, and contributing to clinical teaching and research.
