Buloke Shire Council is looking for a proactive individual to provide leadership and direction to Council’s Road Services Team, to ensure the planning and coordination of its maintenance and construction crews.

In this role you will:

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of Council’s Road Preventative Maintenance program, including grading and patrol activities.
• Facilitate timely inspections and response of Council’s local road network in accordance with Council’s Customer Request System and Road Management Plan.
• Effectively coordinate Roads staff involved in the operations of Council’s Road Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Work as a key team member of the Infrastructure and Delivery Department, including identifying efficiency and service quality improvements.
• Provide input and assist the Manager Works and Coordinator Road Services in preparation for budget estimates for annual road preventative maintenance programs and recommendations for annual road capital improvement programs.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have trade equivalent qualification in Civil Construction with / or substantial relevant experience.
• Demonstrate understanding of Road Management Plans and associated policies and procedures.
• Have previous experience in managing a team and balancing shifting work priorities.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage time and set priorities.
• Have a current Victorian Driver Licence or state equivalent.
