About the role

Several permanent part time opportunities to perform the duties of a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in Surgical and Peri-operative Services at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) and Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS). To be involved in the provision of clinical services, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and research. Participation in the afterhours on call roster.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Work with the Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to ensure appropriate clinical management of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery patients at the RBWH. This includes the development of and participation in audit, efficient utilisation of operating rooms, coordination of outpatient clinics, review of patients, clinical pathways and clinical guidelines.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the provision of clinical care to Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery patients.
• Provide expert leadership to clinical and service improvement activities and initiate, encourage, and participate in extensive evaluation and innovative treatment and care aimed at achieving demonstratable improvements in service outcomes.
• Perform a wide range of elective, semi elective and emergency surgery on Plastic Surgery patients.
