About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced EAL Program Lead to join our EAL Department team. In this role, you will provide educational leadership across EAL programs, support staff development, and ensure quality delivery and compliance with national standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate EAL programs and teaching teams
Deliver training and assessment aligned with VET and curriculum requirements
Support student engagement, attendance, and outcomes
Maintain teaching and compliance documentation
Liaise with industry and community to align training with current needs
Assist in recruitment and onboarding of staff
Promote department programs through community engagement
Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with AMEP, SEE, Skills First, and ASQA standards
Skills and Experience Required
Degree or Diploma relevant to EAL or Foundation Studies
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant industry
Proven leadership and team management capabilities
Strong understanding of vocational education and training sector
Experience in program design, assessment, and compliance
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counselling skills
Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards (OHS, Anti-Discrimination, VET Quality Framework, Child Safe Standards)
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
A National Police Check
