About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced disability support worker to join our team at JC Care in Bentley Park QLD. As a casual Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to our lovely participants, at a 1:1 support ratio. The role will involve mostly community participation and assistance in daily activities and skills such as cooking, cleaning, gardening, and other domestic and personal care tasks.

Hours required

15-20 hours weekly of domestic assistance and community participation

What you'll be doing

Assisting participants with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Accompanying and supporting participants to access community services, social and recreational activities

Developing and implementing individualised support plans to meet each participant's unique needs and goals

Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure the highest standards of care

Collaborating with the broader care team to coordinate seamless service delivery

What we're looking for

A Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field

Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with participants

A compassionate, patient and flexible approach to ensure the best possible outcomes for our participants

A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)

An understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices
