About the role

IE Transport Express Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced MC Local Driver (Dangerous Goods) to join our team in Prestons, NSW. This is a full-time position that will see you play a vital role in our road transport operations, delivering goods safely and efficiently to our customers across the region.

What you'll be doing

Operate large commercial vehicles (MC class) to transport dangerous goods to designated locations

Adhere to all relevant road transport regulations and safety protocols when handling and transporting hazardous materials

Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and identify any maintenance issues

Maintain detailed delivery records and documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements

Liaise with dispatch and customer service teams to provide updates on deliveries and any issues that arise

Support the loading and unloading of vehicles as required

Contribute to a strong safety culture by reporting any hazards or incidents immediately

What we're looking for

Current MC class driver's licence with a Dangerous Goods endorsement

Minimum 2 years' experience operating large commercial vehicles, ideally in a dangerous goods transport role

Thorough knowledge of road transport regulations, safety procedures and best practices for handling hazardous materials

Excellent driving skills and a proven track record of safe, incident-free driving

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Good communication skills and customer service orientation

Physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading as needed
