About the Role
Are you a proactive Accountant or SME Finance Manager who loves variety and thrives in a hands-on role? Do you enjoy stepping out from behind the desk, building strong relationships across the business, and becoming the go-to for financial insights? If so, this could be your next move.

Reporting to the Practice Manager and working closely with the leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving day-to-day financial operations. You’ll also mentor a junior team member, shaping the next generation of talent.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-of-month financial and management reporting.
• Manage statutory and regulatory compliance (BAS, IAS, FBT, PAYG).
• Deliver accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and boost efficiency.

About You

• CA/CPA qualified (or nearly there) with solid experience in a broad, autonomous accounting role.
• Professional services experience is a bonus.
• Hands-on with end-of-month, but also confident providing insights and analysis to leadership.
• Strong knowledge of BAS, FBT, PAYG and IAS, with sound accounting standards expertise.
• A natural problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
• A people-person who enjoys turning numbers into meaningful stories and building strong relationships.
