Longreach Systems Pty Ltd specialise in designing and manufacturing materials handling systems primarily for the parcel freight and warehousing industries. For more than 30 years Longreach has been providing equipment and product support to the transport, warehousing and distribution centre market. Our strong reputation for delivering quality products and exceptional service has enabled us to achieve continuous growth. Due to this ongoing growth we are looking for a Fitter / Machinist to assist us in servicing our customers growing needs.

We are currently seeking a fully qualified Fitter / Machinist for our busy workshop located at Wingfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of various types of conveyors and machining of components.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assembly, and building of various conveyors
• Processing jobs in a productive manner and communicating with factory supervisors and managers;
• Work in a team environment
• Ensure compliance with all OHS requirements.

Skills and Experience:

• Trade qualified (Fitter / Machinist);
• Have an eye for detail;
• The ability to interpret drawings and specifications;
• Take pride in their work;
• Sound communication skills - both written and verbal;
• Hold a current forklift ticket.

Our assembly division is presently busy and can provide a 38hr/week with overtime.
