About the Position

The school is seeking a committed Head of Sport and Outdoor Education to lead its PE, Health, and VCE PE/Sport & Recreation programs while coordinating sport across the school. The successful candidate will oversee weekly and fortnightly interschool competitions within the Christian Schools Community Network (CSCN), foster student engagement in physical activity, and develop outdoor education initiatives. This position offers up to $121k plus PoL allowance, with no after-school or weekend sport requirements.

Skills and Responsibilities

Teach PE, Health, and VCE PE/Sport & Recreation.

Lead and coordinate the whole-school sport program.

Liaise with the Christian Schools Community Network to organise interschool competitions.

Develop and oversee outdoor education programs.

Promote student wellbeing, resilience, and engagement through sport and outdoor activities.

Demonstrate strong organisational and leadership skills in managing programs and events.

Requirements

A personal commitment to the Christian faith and the school’s values, with the ability to actively support and contribute to the Christian ethos of the school.

Demonstrated experience in sport coordination and program leadership.

Eligible for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.

Full working rights in Australia.

Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements.
