About Additive Assurance
At Additive Assurance, we solve a major problem in metal 3D printing: making sure the parts are made right, every time. Companies in aerospace, medicine, and other key industries use 3D printing to create amazing things, from jet engine components to surgical implants. But tiny, random flaws can cause these parts to fail. Our technology, a unique set of sensors and software, watches the printing process and catches these defects as they happen. This means safer, more reliable parts, less waste, and more trust in 3D printing as a whole. Your work here will help make this advanced manufacturing technique a reliable, everyday tool for engineers around the world.
The Role
We're looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our small, hands-on team. You'll take charge of our software from start to finish—designing, building, and managing the systems that our clients rely on. You'll work across our entire stack, from our cloud-based platform on AWS to the software that runs on-site with our customers. A big part of the job will be improving how we build and release our software (DevOps). This is a role for a builder; you'll be coding and shipping solutions in a fast-moving environment where your work makes a difference quickly. We also use modern AI tools to help us code faster and automate our work, and you'll be a key part of using them to get things done.
What You'll Do:
Design, develop, and test robust and scalable software systems.
Champion test-driven development practices and apply a meticulous eye for detail to deliver robust, production-ready code.
Manage and enhance our cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
Work with a modern tech stack, including React, Node.js, Python, Postgres, and AWS.
Leverage AI development tools and agentic coding practices to accelerate development cycles and enhance code quality.
Take ownership of projects from conception to deployment, ensuring they meet client needs and business objectives.
Collaborate within an agile team to integrate software components into a fully functional system.
Contribute to the architecture and feasibility of new features and functionalities.
What You'll Bring:
Relevant experience in a software engineering role.
Proficiency in high-level programming languages, particularly Javascript/Typescript and Python, especially in parallel workload scenarios.
Strong experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Linux, CDK, docker, bash, git, & github actions).
Experience or strong familiarity with modern AI-driven development tools and agentic coding workflows. You have a keen eye for detail and are passionate about shipping high-quality code quickly to deliver impact.
Demonstrated ability in designing and building web services, including RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with web frameworks such as React, node.js, typeorm, Postgres
A degree in Computer Systems, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
You must have the right to work in Australia.
What We Offer:
Meaningful equity through our employee share scheme – you'll have a real stake in our success.
The opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that is shaping the future of manufacturing.
A dynamic and collaborative work environment based in our Oakleigh office.
