We are looking for reliable and confident Disability Support Workers who have hands-on experience with personal care, manual handling, and supporting clients with complex physical, cognitive, and mental health needs and the ability to provide safe, empowering in-home support while building meaningful connections with participants.
Disability Support Worker – Sunshine Coast
In-Home Support | Mental Health, Extreme behaviours, Personal Care & Manual Handling
Position Summary:
Location: Sunshine Coast
Shifts: 2–8 hours in length
Pay Rate: SCHADS Award Level 2.1–3.1 ($41–$55/hr based on qualifications & experience)
Weekly Hours: Up to 15-20 hours/week
Setting: Primarily in-home, with occasional community access outings
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced and confident Support Workers to join our growing team and deliver high-quality in-home care for multiple clients.
This is a hands-on role supporting clients with complex physical, cognitive, and mental health needs, including individuals who are non-verbal or living with conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury, Dementia, and Complex PTSD. Support may involve personal care, manual handling, mobility assistance, and mental health support, delivered with a trauma-informed approach that prioritises dignity, safety, and empowerment in every interaction.
Duties may include:
Personal care, including manual handling and hoist transfers
Supporting participants with daily routines, mobility, hygiene, and engagement
Occasional community access as appropriate
Clear, timely documentation of shift notes and goal progress
Building rapport with participants and promoting dignity, safety, and empowerment
Ideal Applicants Will Have Experience With:

✅ Stoma care
✅ Non-verbal or communication-limited conditions

✅ Mental Health Support
✅ Trauma Informed Care
✅ Acquired Brain Injuries
Essential Requirements:
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or Blue/Yellow Cards)
Cert III in Individual Support (or relevant qualification – enrolled students welcome)
Comprehensive car insurance and a reliable vehicle
Strong communication and documentation skills
Passion for supporting diverse needs and improving lives
