Join the Centre of Movement Team – Live, Work, and Travel in New Zealand
The Centre of Movement has officially opened in New Zealand, and we are looking for Australian Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Exercise Physiologists who want to travel overseas and experience living and working in Aotearoa. Our first clinic is now open in Rotorua, and a second clinic will open in Christchurch in October 2025.
We deliver intensive therapy programs for children with neurological and developmental conditions, including (but not limited to) cerebral palsy (hypertonia, hypotonia, ataxia, dystonia), traumatic brain injury, spina bifida, neurological disorders, stroke (CVA), genetic conditions and global developmental delay. Families who once had to travel to Australia for this level of care can now access it in their home country and you can be part of making that change.
This is more than just a job, it’s an adventure. Relocate to New Zealand for a year or more, and combine professional growth with the opportunity to travel, explore stunning landscapes, and immerse yourself in a new culture. Imagine advancing your skills in the intensive therapy model by day, and experiencing everything from geothermal wonders to alpine trails in your downtime.
If you’re ready to bring your expertise overseas, help transform the lives of children, and enjoy the lifestyle of living and working in New Zealand, we’d love to hear from you.
About you:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Exercise Physiology
• New graduates welcome to apply
• Current governing body registration (or eligibility to register)
• DMI training highly regarded
• You are comfortable working in a dynamic, hands-on environment that requires creativity, problem-solving and clinical agility
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children, parents, and health professionals
• Commitment to fostering genuine long-term professional relationships with clients and colleagues
• A playful and imaginative approach to engaging children
• Passionate, energetic, and proactive in your work
Our therapy model is physically active, involving movement-based interventions and frequent transitions. Applicants should feel confident working in a setting that is engaging, energetic, and physically involved.
You must bring a growth mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced, supportive team. We’re seeking therapists with clinical reasoning who can work independently and confidently in a fast-paced setting where meaningful change happens every day.
If you are passionate, creative, dynamic, and proactive, then we are looking for you - apply now!
