Why This Role?

This role has breadth, depth, and impact. It’s perfect for someone who’s already led in finance but wants to play a key role in shaping a scaling business.

Your responsibilities will span:

Financial structure & reporting: Designing policies, practices, and reporting rhythms that set the standard.

Day-to-day financial operations: Overseeing cashflow, AP, and AR, with two juniors reporting into you. They’re bright, committed, and eager to learn – but they’ll look to you for mentorship and leadership.

Commercial oversight: Partnering with the sales and services teams to review deals, contracts, and margins with a sharp eye on profitability.

Budget ownership: Managing and influencing multi-million-dollar budgets, ensuring the business has the clarity to grow with confidence.

Strategic support: Working closely with the Owner/Director, you’ll be the financial sounding board on forecasting, planning, and major decisions.

About You

You’re a finance professional who knows how to balance the detail of the numbers with the bigger picture of commercial strategy.

We’d love to see you bring:

Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets with proven commercial outcomes.

A background in a scale-up environment – you know how to build structure in the middle of rapid growth.

Strong commercial and analytical skills – you don’t just report numbers, you explain what they mean and what to do next.

Leadership experience – you’ve guided and mentored small teams and enjoy bringing people up with you.

CPA (or equivalent) qualification.

You’ll thrive if you’re adaptable, resilient, and excited by the chance to help shape the finance function from the ground up.

What’s On Offer

Salary: $160K–$180K + Super + Bonus

Hybrid working: Standard 3/2 split, with flexibility for the right candidate

Progression: Scope to grow as the business scales

Annual review: Salary review at 12 months
