Location: Para Hills West, SA
Employment type: Casual – 1 day per week (Mondays, 8:00am start)
Pay: $32/hr casual (Cleaning Services Award)
About the role
We’re a professional funeral company seeking a reliable, practical person—ideal for someone semi-retired or retired—who takes pride in a clean, well-kept workspace and vehicles. You’ll care for our 350m² mortuary shed, amenities, and funeral vehicles. The role is autonomous — you’ll be issued a key and access code to the facility (monitored by CCTV) and are trusted to complete your duties independently.
What you’ll do
Shed & floors: Sweep, mop, and blow down a large concrete floor (350m²); dust surfaces; general tidy.
Amenities: Clean and sanitise toilets and bathrooms (surfaces, mirrors, basins, toilets, floors; restock consumables).
Vehicle care: Wash and detail vehicles (typically a hearse and station wagon; others as required).
Laundry: Empty dryer, move washing to dryer, fold and store linen.
Light maintenance: Change globes, basic housekeeping, rubbish removal, place bins out.
General support: Keep equipment/areas orderly and safe.
Hours & pay
Mondays, 8:00am start (one day per week).
$32 per hour casual (paid under the Cleaning Services Award).
About you
Suits semi-retired/retired applicants seeking steady casual work.
Local applicants preferred for ease of travel to Para Hills West.
Comfortable working around funeral vehicles and within a mortuary shed environment.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual cleaning/maintenance tasks (sweeping, mopping, bending, lifting moderate items, operating a blower).
No pre-existing medical conditions that would impair your physical ability to safely perform standard duties.
Practical, organised, and attentive to detail (vehicles, amenities & floors).
Dependable, punctual, discreet, and able to work autonomously.
Location & facilities
Para Hills West, SA (northern suburbs of Adelaide).
Work is performed at our mortuary shed/facility; on-site parking available.
