Men's Time Out Worker
Full Time, 38 hours per week – Ongoing

About the Role
The Aboriginal Family Violence Services (Time Out) provide support for those who use violence towards family members to enable them to deal with their issues in a culturally appropriate manner. Opportunity may be provided for reflection and supported decision-making as well as access to services including counselling, behaviour change programs, mentoring, cultural healing activities and education programs.
About You
Qualifications and Registrations:
Bachelor of Social Work, Graduate Certificate in Family Violence or relevant qualification
Knowledge and skills:
Ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality and compliance
A demonstrated knowledge of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and culture and an understanding of factors that influence the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people
Demonstrated assessment skills, the ability to manage referrals, liaise with providers and an ability to effectively apply case support practices
A commitment to improving justice outcomes for the local Aboriginal community
Knowledge and experience of Justice and Legal processes
The ability to liaise and network with Victoria Police members
Demonstrated assessment, referral and case support skills including service coordination
Knowledge and experience working with Aboriginal men who perpetrate family violence

Competitive pay and conditions based on the SCHADS Award Level 4 - Pay Point 1-4 (based on qualifications and experience).
Salary packaging of $15,900 available for Part-time or Full-time employees.

3. Outline how you have worked collaboratively with stakeholders and community to ensure the cultural safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal clients and families, including how you manage risk and promote self-determination.
