Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for a Project Scheduler in Melbourne to work on Land Projects.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance project schedules to support project objectives.
• Provide project governance support and participate in key project workshops.
• Support broader Project Controls activities as required.
• Analyse project information and cost data to monitor and report on project cost and schedule progress, including Earned Value Performance Measurement (EVPM).
• Manage individual schedules and coordinate with the Scheduler to update the master schedule.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in developing and managing a Program schedule in the Defence environment.
• Proficiency in PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification.
• Experience in OPP Version 8 (minimum).
• Ability to work cross-functionally with project management, engineering, military personnel, and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, initiative, and judgement to provide detailed planning and scheduling advice.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
