Informatech is seeking an experienced Project Test Lead to join our Defence Testing team on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to secure career stability with a trusted consultancy while leading critical technical testing initiatives for the Department of Defence.

The Project Test Lead will oversee and drive above-the-line test assurance and execution across multiple Defence initiatives, ensuring delivery of high-quality, reliable, and secure outcomes. You will lead a multi-skilled testing team and be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all phases of the Defence testing lifecycle, including Verification & Validation (V&V) and Test & Evaluation (T&E) activities. Your role will also ensure traceability, quality control, and effective collaboration with stakeholders and vendor teams throughout the testing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop an Above The Line (ATL), multi-skilled Testing Team to deliver required technical outcomes.
Conduct Test & Evaluation (T&E) activities aligned with Defence technical requirements for architectures, designs, and products.
Develop and manage artefacts to support Defence T&E and Verification & Validation (V&V) activities and processes.
Deliver high-quality test documentation, procedures, and reports, including evidence-based outputs and initial test cases.
Produce and manage the Test Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and Project Test Plan (PTP).
Facilitate effective testing information exchange between Defence and vendor test teams.
Plan, coordinate, and conduct Development, Acceptance, Systems, Integration, and User Acceptance Testing.
Capture and monitor security measures, controls, and compliance across verification and validation testing activities.
Ensure traceability, monitoring, and control of testing processes to deliver quality outcomes.
Assess and report on progress and effectiveness of ongoing test activities.
Deploy and manage testing resources and infrastructure, including environments, test data, test users, and sessions.
Apply technical measures and metrics across all T&E and V&V activities.
To be Successful:
Minimum 5 years leading application-focused Test and Evaluation teams.
Minimum 5 years of experience with T&E tools, frameworks, and test implementation.
Knowledge and experience with cloud-based platforms, including provisioning instances, databases, and environments.
Strong web-based application testing experience with a focus on User Acceptance Testing.
Ability to apply requirements, standards, and frameworks to practical testing of designs and systems.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for engagement with stakeholders and business areas.
Experience working within the Defence environment, using Defence test standards, processes, and tools.
Ability to meet compliance requirements under the US International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) for handling export-controlled ICT products.
Desirable Skills:
High-level knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and frameworks.
Understanding of infrastructure, networking, and system integration design.
