Be the Heart of Local Impact - Lead the Inala Suburban University Study Hub. Are you ready to shape the future of education in a vibrant and diverse community in southwest Brisbane?
Who you are
The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is seeking a dynamic, community-minded Study Hub and Engagement Manager to lead the brand new Suburban University Study Hub (SUSH) in Inala - one of the Australian Government’s newest initiatives under the Australian Universities Accord to make tertiary education more accessible and equitable.
What you'll do
This is more than a leadership role, it’s your chance to build something meaningful from the ground up. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, engage deeply with the local community, and develop life-changing programs that support students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue and succeed in higher education. You’ll be the connector between learners, local schools, training providers, industry, and government - shaping a study hub in Inala that’s welcoming, empowering, and built for real impact.
Why join us?
- Be a changemaker: Play a critical role in realising the goals of the Australian Universities Accord by expanding access to education.
- Create real outcomes: Lead a new education model that removes barriers and boosts success for students who have been historically underrepresented.
- Empower communities: Build strong local partnerships that transform the study hub into a thriving centre of opportunity.
- Lead with purpose: Inspire and guide a passionate team that fosters an inclusive, high-impact learning environment.
What you’ll bring
- A strong background in education, community development, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven leadership and program management skills with a passion for equity, innovation, and social change.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities independently, stay organised, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in managing operations, financial processes, and compliance with a clear eye for detail and strategic alignment.
- Cultural competency, especially within diverse and multilingual communities. (Vietnamese language skills highly regarded.)
This is your opportunity to create something lasting - a legacy of learning, access, and community empowerment.
Join us in building a future where everyone has the opportunity to succeed - right in the heart of Inala.
