Your new role
Our partner council is seeking a self-motivated and experienced team member for a part-time, fixed-term position at their Rehoming Centre, working Saturdays and Sundays.
Your primary responsibilities will include facilitating the transition of all animals into and out of their facility, managing associated paperwork, and providing excellent customer service.
An ideal candidate will:
- Assist in maintaining a high standard of animal housing presentation and animal welfare
- Ensure animals are accounted for accurately on associated records.
- Act in accordance with the NSW Work Health and Safety Act 2011, Work Health and Safety Regulation 2017 and the Work Health and Safety (WHS) System.
What you'll need to succeed
- Candidates must hold a Cert II in Animal Care or equivalent
- Significant experience in handling companion animals
- Current class C driving licence.
- Demonstrated knowledge of animal care and welfare issues
- Computer-literate in basic office applications and the ability to quickly learn corporate applications
- Developed verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to commit to an ongoing roster fulfilling Saturday and Sunday patterned shifts
- Qualified microchip implanter
- The ability to drive a manual vehicle
